I’m a biased Puka owner but what he’s done since entering the league, leading the nfl all time in yards per game, I don’t see how he’s not #1 again, at least on a per game basis. Stafford has so much trust in him, some of the throws he makes and catches puka comes up with are mind blowing.
Per start, sure. He is the most injury-likely top 15 player. Period. So when you say “I don’t see how he’s not #1..” that’s the ‘how’, and Stafford being a huge injury risk too, as his back WILL NOT get better, it’s the spine and the disc, not just the disc… those are two huge injury concerns, as Stafford is older too so avoiding injury is a task. Not impossible, but a task. Puka was in the tent or tunnel every game. And, his off-the-field concerns mount as well. I’m not saying it wont workout, but from a dynasty perspective, there is concern, and from a redraft perspective, I worry not as much but enough to have Chase and JSN above him. In redraft, he’s still top 5-6 overall and WR2-3, prob 3… that’s still respect, but the dynasty concerns will grow. each year.
Those are all valid reasons. It’s just he’s done nothing but produce from the moment he’s stepped on the field. I think my biggest concern would be potentially losing McVay. I know he was close to retiring after the 2022 season, I wonder if drafting Ty Simpson was Snead’s way of making sure he stays once Stafford retires
Agreed…it was radio silence for a while there. Was good to see him speaking to the media and hopefully he realizes he could throw away generational money if he continues down the path he was on previously
WR 1, 2 or 3 this year?
