Bold Prediction 2026: Patrick Mahomes
Patrick Mahomes is is no spring chicken. So why is he on the Dynasty Bold Predictions List? He still has maybe 10 years left as a top 4-10 fantasy football QB.
He was the QB1 in fantasy for a big part of last season (then he tore his ACL). The Chiefs need to help the recovering QB out during this upcoming 2026 season… they will aggressively attack big name free agents or big-time rookies (think Jeremiyah Love or Kenyon Sadiq); Mahomes will likely get all that talent we’ve wanted him to have around him and it’s gonna happen this off-season.
I’ll update this write-up after free agency unfolds here in mid March, and of course after the NFL Draft, but this team is going to go get a big name player via one of those two avenues. That’s been the buzz all January through the beginning March… many doubt the QB right now, it’s crazy.. fantasy owners tend to not want to wait for ACL recoveries and they often fear the worst.
And, while it could take Mahomes a good year to fully get back on track (and know that it might not), he will probably overdeliver on his first year back and prove doubters wrong once again (just like he did nearly the entire 2025 season.. as fantasy QB1-2.. this after so many have yelled for two years now that “he’s just not a top 5QB anymore!”).
Even if he just produced 8-10QB numbers this year, you’re buying on the situation that KC is about to create to support Mahomes this year while he runs less (KC will attempt to play it safe and just build more around him… assets that will linger and help the years after).
CONCLUSION
Buy-low everywhere! Even though he will likely run less during the first half of the 2026 season, which could have him score less, Mahomes will probably ignore caution and still have some huge games. When Mahomes is 100% in 2027, though, he will play like it and will have upgraded talent for the long-haul.
Read MoreBold Prediction 2026: Kenyon Sadiq
Kenyon Sadiq is going to be a monster. I predict that he will be a top 2-4TE in fantasy football within 1-3 years.
Like any rookie tight end in the NFL, he will have some ups and downs, but look at Colston Loveland and Harold Fannin.. both had mediocre stretches at times during their rookie seasons, but both developed into monsters during stretches of the 2025 NFL season (and don’t forget about Tyler Warren, as this applies to him as well).
As for Sadiq, he is just massive. When you watch footage of him, he dominates defenders and that’s only going to manifest at the pro level with pro coaches and elite surrounding talent. This could be the modern day Rob Gronkowski.
He has the hands, the size, the athleticism… if in the right spot he will explode very early on.
His likely high draft capital also places him in a near-guaranteed to be solid situation, as no team would spend early-to-mid first-round value on a position they don’t desperately need. Imagine him in Washington with Jayden Daniels.. even Tennessee with Cam Ward would be nice. The Chiefs are planning to lose Travis Kelce (even if he does play one more season). The Chiefs draft at 9, Washington 7 and Titans 4… Sadiq should land in a stellar spot.
So, all that said, you can’t expect Sadiq to have 17 games of top 2-4TE production in 2026.. but I believe we will see flashes of that more often than usual, meaning a top 5-7 season, like Fannin just dropped in 2025, is possible.. and that will then set the stage for a top 3TE convo in 2027.
Don’t draft him as a top 2-4TE, though, as you don’t have to. You may have to spend near 8-10TE value via trade, and he could (after the draft hands him a nice landing spot) command as high as a 1.5-1.6 rookie-only pick. Every day he will gain more value and more believers.
CONCLUSION
Buy Sadiq in dynasty. Now! Draft him! Go get the 1.5 or so in existing leagues so that you can snag the soon-to-be rising star.
Read MoreBold Prediction 2026: Jeremiyah Love
Jeremiyah Love will be a Top 5RB in 2026 and especially beyond.
Date: 3/4/2026
The below, and more, still applies. In fact, I have upgraded my assessment of Jeremiyah Love’s upside calling him a Top 3RB in both redraft and dynasty. View that video for more on that stance, but note that I will be back for an update on this once the NFL Draft is concluded and we have Love’s landing spot (he’s projected to go as high as #3 overall to AZ or at worst #9 to KC, and everywhere in between.
Date: 1/7/2026
Jeremiyah Love is a stud in-the-making. He has two seasons of elite college production, has great hands and is likely to land in a great situation.
He’s expected to go inside the Top 10 of the 2026 NFL Draft, and while there are 1-2 merely “solid” landing spots in that territory, all of the “bad” landing spots are not really in play, as those teams have a rusher. The two most elite landing spots are the Chiefs and especially the Saints. I feel extremely confident that Love will land on one of those rosters, and he will likely be a top 5-10RB lock if in either scenario. And, even if he landed in one of the lesser spots, we are talking the Commanders or Cardinals, both of which would be very good. Any team that takes Love inside the top 10 wouldn’t dare not to force-feed him, as that is too high a draft slot to select part-time talent. Love is nearly guaranteed insane volume and nearly guaranteed an ‘elite’ or at least “strong” landing spot.
Some might suggest he is not as good of a prospect as Bijan Robinson and Ashton Jeanty. I agree with that, but “prospect value” does not always translate to the pros at the same level and bite. Look at De’Von Achane as an example. He was a good, not great, prospect. He had lots of amazing qualities and upside, but most (except us) said he was too small and could never make it in the NFL as an every-down back. Well, he currently sits in the RB3 overall ranking for this site and and almost everyone on planet earthy. Sometimes players grow and mature at the NFL level, and I think Love could climb into the Bijan and Jeantytier. Even if he is below those guys, he has the natural talent (and soon will have the situation) to multiply his value into that elite tier.
CONCLUSION
Love is the locked-in #1 overall rookie in this 2026 NFL Draft class. He is also locked into my top 5-10RBs, with upside to be top 3 if all goes well and the landing spot ends up being that Chiefs or Saints landing spot. I think even as a rookie he can be a top 5RB. Don’t let previous years make you cautious with rookie rushers. Don’t let Jeanty’s up and down rookie season make you think rookies take longer to develop. Don’t let Marvin Harrison Jr.’s complex journey make you judge Love journey. They are not connected. Every player is different and every situation should be examined differently. Also, scared money don’t make money.

Omarion Hampton will produce top 5RB numbers in 2026
Date: 3/4/2026
Omarion Hampton’s value has not changed much since the below post, but I just wanted to repost this to affirm that and to just add that a rookie/free agent landing in this situation on Draft Day or when March Free Agency occurs, so standby for another update that will post. For now, all of the below still applies.
Date: 1/30/2026
Omarion Hampton was just handed offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel. Miami Mike now becomes Malibu Mike, and he brings that De’Von Achane treatment into the Chargers running back room.
While one should not just assume that Hampton’s exact usage transfers on over to Hampton in 2026; one must consider that McDaniel has had several different iterations of ‘monsters’ that we can examine to speculate on Hampton’s output/volume. In San Fran, it was Deebo Samuel and his ‘wide-back’ role… then in Miami, Mike created the 20TD-producing Raheem Mostert (with an explosive accessory in Achane that was actually the secondary piece of that success). That next season, though, after Mostert’s explosion, Achane developed into the top 3RB that he currently is now (and has been for multiple years). As you can see, it’s never an exact transfer of usage when it comes to Mike’s weapons, and Mike can morph whatever talent he wants into a fantasy monster.
Thus, one should not just assume Hampton = Achane. Or, at least, one should not assume it will look identical even if it scores as well (or close to it). In fact, one should consider that Mike will use all his scheming genius to utilize Orande Gadsden and Ladd McConkey as well. All three of Hampton, Gadsden and Ladd will likely explode in 2026. More to come on Gadsden and Ladd, though, as this write-up is going to focus on Hampton.
Hampton will likely produce like something in between Mostert and Achane. I think Achane is hard to replicate, even for Malibu Mike… Achane could literally lead the league in receptions and receiving yards if Mike had so wished. That’s how good Achane was as a receiver. Hampton, while a great receiver, struggles a little in pass protection. While Mike could help him remedy that, it could make Hampton a slightly lesser receiver than Achane, but without it affecting production, as Mike can just create a 15TD rusher in Hampton. I think we still get plenty of PPR workout of Hampton, maybe even top 5-8 type receiving production (for RBs)… but we should see massive rushing stats. Even if I’m wrong here and let’s say Mike makes Hampton an amazing pass protector and receiver, Hampton is talented enough to crank out top 5RB numbers in any of Mike’s architecture.
The only “concern” I would have with Hampton is can he stay healthy. He has had more than one ankle injury at this point throughout college and his rookie season in the pros, so that would be the one and only concern. Handcuff him to minimize this risk.
Hampton Projections
Again, understand how good Ladd, Gadsden, and especially Justin Herbert, can be this season.. truly, this entire offense will explode. I predict that Hampton cranks out stats that look something like:
