I am drafting from the 2nd pick in a 12 team redraft. The starting roster is 1QB,2RB,3WR,1TE and 2 flex(RB,WR,TE). My question is can I deploy the “Tripod”, RB,RB,QB or should I be looking to go with a WR with 3WR starters. Not sure how much the extra WR plays into my draft strategy. Any advice or thoughts on would be appreciated. Thank you.

PPR? Passing TDs = ?
Even if PPR I am inclined to take 2 RBs in the first 3 rounds.
I have a 12-Team 1/2 PPR & Passing TD = 6 draft tonight. I have 1.04 and will be taking Breece or Bijan if they fall and will look for Allen or Hurts early.
There is only 32 POSSIBLY USEFUL RBs. So at 1/2 PPR I will grab 3 RBs in the first 7 rounds. Not to mention that I can start 4 RBs

Yes PPR and 6pt passing TDs. Hey thanks for the response. I may have been overthinking it. The way you put it makes sense to grab high quality backs.

How did your draft go?
Here is mine. Number after the player is the draft rank based upon their average rank from my 3 site spread sheet. Yahoo RIPPED me and gave me a grade of D. Screw Yahoo
Starting requirements are 1 QB / 2 RB / 3 WRs / 1 TE / ! Flex RWT / 1 DST / 1 K
1.04 Bijan Robinson RB | ATL – 1.04
2.09 Jahmyr Gibbs RB | DET – 2.01
3.04 Deebo Samuel WR | SF – 2.11
4.09 Anthony Richardson QB | IND – 4.05 There had already been a run on QBs
5.04 Jaylen Waddle WR | MIA – 3.12
6.09 Dalton Kincaid TE | BUF – 6.01
7.04 Terry McLaurin WR | WAS – 5.12
8.09 Brian Thomas Jr. WR | JAC – 9.11 – A reach for sure
9.04 Jaylen Warren RB | PIT – 7.11 – Needed a Kicker and sacrificed Warren
10.09 Jameson Williams WR | DET – 8.03
11.04 Jerome Ford RB | CLE – 9.09 – He is the RB1 at least for the 1st 4 weeks
12.09 Kirk Cousins QB | ATL – 11.01
13.04 Trey Benson RB | ARI – 10.09
14.09 Tyler Allgeier RB | ATL – 11.03
15.04 Lions DST – DSTs started going around Round 9 – Scoring is very favorable
16.08 Ben Sinnott TE | WAS – 16.02
17.04 Michael Wilson WR | ARI – 13.04
18.09 Jaylen Wright RB | MIA – 12.08-

Ranking sites I use are Smitty, Fantasy Football Today and Fantasy Pros. For Dynasty ranks I change Fantasy Football Today to Dynasty League Football (DLF)
Smitty is pretty aggressive so some of the ranks may appear better for some players. That is why I average them between the 3 sites
All 4 ADP sits that I consulted thought AR5 was a REACH. As I said there were a lot of QBs already gone. This league WAS a SuperFlex the last 2 years
