Face-Off: Jeanty or Henry in redraft ppr?

Since it is redraft and since at this point we don’t know WHERE Jeanty will land I picked Henry. Yes I think that is a great chance that Henry breaks down this year BUT we know EXACTLY how he will be used. If this is dynasty then Jeanty is a no-brainer.

I go with the philosophy I’d rather get out a year early on a guy vs a year late. I’m on Jeanty over Henry for that reason. I don’t want to own Henry when the wheels fall off.

This is an interesting poll due to the timing. It is a one year purchase based upon an incomplete set of facts.

If this poll is taken in May after the NFL draft my vote for Henry might very well change. Jeanty could go to a bad place and not begin to realize his potential until late 2025 or 2026.

I have 3 leagues

10-Team No-PPR Dynasty. I will take Jeanty at pick 1.01 and maybe Hampton at pick 1.03. I am trying to sell 1.03 + Bryce Young to the 1.02 owner who only has Mayfield and Cousins at QB

12-Team 1-PPR Dynasty. I have pick 1.08 and Henry will be undoubtedly kept. BUT if both players somehow fell to 1.08 of course I would take Jeanty

10-Team No-PPR Keeper (Max 3) – I won pick 1.01 in a 2024 consolation tournament. If Henry is kept by his current owner it will cost the owner his pick 2.04. I could see the owner keeping Henry at that cost. But if Henry is not kept I MIGHJT take him at 1.01 I for sure won’t take Jeanty at 1.01 if for no other reason than he would cost me my 2026 round 1 pick to keep him. I probably will keep Bo Nix (pick 15.01) and I don’t know who at picks 14.10 and 13.01. I have a bunch of players I THOUGHT would be great keeps including Jordan Mason, Isaac Guerendo, Zack Charbonnet, Tyjae Spears, Jonathon Brooks, and Trey Benson but their values have become questionable. That draft is not until late August so I will have to see how those RBs play out. If Mason takes Aaron Jones job he is a keeper. If Guerendon becomes the RB1 then he is a keeper. If none of the RBs work out I might keep Bryce Young or Drake Maye at pick 14.10 and then Jalen McMillan at pick 8.10, but was hoping that Evans or Godwin would take a hike

There is a 4th league at Yahoo that I was in last year. I am probably not returning because the commissioner refuses to replace owners who quit setting their lineups after they are out of the playoffs. It is a 12-Team .5-PPR Redraft. If I do return, I won’t likely take Jeanty over Henry in that league either. I could probably get Jeanty at about round 5 based upon how my 2024 draft went.

Good takes. I clearly have Jeanty as a top 5RB from day one. Hoping DEN trades up for him, if not LV at 6, or a trade down by CLE to get him… a few others. CHI isn’t bad, but the least fav of the top 5-6 spots.
