Would you trade AJ Dillon, Mattison and a 2024 2nd for Kincaid?

My rbs are Gibbs, Etienne, Charbonnet and Pierce if I give up Dillon and Mattison.

Probably not. It just seems like an overpay to me. But who are your current TEs? Will you contend this year without making the trade? What are your starting requirements. Where is the 2024 2nd likely to be?

Since Mattison appears to be the RB1, ef you already you will contend, can you afford to lose him and depend on two rookies and questions surrounding Etienne and Pierce? I was high on Charbonnet until he landed in Seattle.

For reference, I sold Dillon, Claypool and 1.03 for 1.04, 2.02 and 3.02. But I am still in a rebuild so Dillon’s and Claypool’s absence is inconsequential to me as I have Breece, Pierce and Rachaad White and prefer the handcuffs I got.

After the trade I got Quentin Johnston, Stroud and Abanikanda with those picks. But that also allowed me to take Achane at 2.03 and Tucker at 3.03 and by trading Damien my Harris for 2.10 I got Marvin Mims.

So a lot of questions surround your trade.

I have Kelce as my current TE.
      I’m looking at
      Mahomes
      Gibbs
      Etienne
      Olave
      St Brown
      Higgins
      Kelce
      Pierce (flex)
As my lineup so I’d say I’m probably a top 4 team and would be set with Kincaid as my future TE after Kelce. I can draft Tank Bigsby for insurance with Etienne.

Well… as my dear old dad used to say “Ya pays ya money and ya takes ya chances”. I still don’t like trading Mattison, but you gotta give to get. I believe the trade is Smitty APPROVED.

I am curious as to why the other team owner would do it. Is ha short on start worthy RBs and also owns Aaron Jones?

We have guys in the league that keep saying it’s a down rookie draft. My logic in moving Mattison now is if the Vikings bring in another RB then instantly Mattison drops in value. (Even if it’s just like Hunt or zeke) so I’m selling high for a guy I don’t really believe in beyond a year or two and grabbing some rookie rbs that may increase in value.

I think you are getting robbed blindly in this scenario. Mattison alone has more standing value right now as he is the RB1 of a high-scoring offense. If he isn’t enough, I would throw in a 3rd. Kincaid could be a stud, but Josh Allen and that offense has yet to show they are committed to focusing on one TE plus Knox just signed a 4-year contract.

I see the logic. I own Mattison, Dalvin, Kamara, Zeke, Claypool and Mooney in a league where I have to move 8 players a day or so before my Labor Day draft. Gonna try to have a fire sale to get to 1.01 or 1.02.

I already own Breece, Walker, Pollard, Dobbins, Lamb, AJ Brown, Godwin, Watson and Ridley. So I should not NEED any of them and now is the time to sell. Otherwise I will have to cut some of them. If I keep them then I will have to cut some players like Nico Collins, Terrace Marshall, Doubs and some others that I would like to wait on.

Of those…Mattison is the only one that holds value. Dalvin could but also will most likely hold out signing until after training camp to save his body and will have situational value once he signs.

Significant over pay in my book. TEs usually break out in their 3rd year if at all. I don’t see Kincaid anywhere near a Pitts type player. And you’re giving up solid players that can help your team now. Mattison alone is worth more.

Fortunately I still have 79 days before I have to decide. Hopefully Dalvin will land someplace sweet and he and Mattison with be attractive starters along with my 1.08 if I have to cough it up.

My gut is telling me Mattison gets banged up or they sign someone who gets in a committee with him. At that point, I’ll have lost an opportunity to sell him. Kincaid is going to be a top 3 TE of the future, so I’m banking on 8 years of not worrying about the position between him and Kelce vs rbs who I probably wouldn’t start often with Gibbs, Pierce, Etienne and Charbonnet in the mix. I might be wrong this year, but I feel it’s an investment in the future that I feel good about especially as the 2nd target in Buffalo

This draft I’ve given up: Javonte Williams, AJ Dillon, Alexander Mattison and my next year’s 2nd

I’ve obtained: Jahmyr Gibbs, Dalton Kincaid, and Zach Charbonnet.

      I’m not regretting my decisions.

100% PASS on this trade. I wouldn’t even trade Mattison for Kincaid straight up.

You are set with your team, do NOT give up your depth at RB to get a future TE that may or may not pan out.
