Marvin Harrison Jr to the MOON as Cardinal

cardinals

smitty-thefantasyfootballshowLook, it's quite simple. Marvin Harrison Jr. landed in the MOST ideal spot in the NFL for an incoming stud wide receiver. This is maybe the best receiver in the league within one calendar year, and I just moved him to WR1 overall on the dynasty rankings. Bold? Maybe so, but this kid is the real deal, and while I love Rome Odunze and Malik Nabers, they both landed in so-so spots. Nabers landed with the Giants, with no QB in sight for at least 364 days... Odunze is playing along side Keenan Allen and DJ Moore (with a rookie QB throwing to him and on a team that fails developing QBs over and over again).

Could Caleb Williams (#1 overall pick to Chicago) thrive in the NFL? Sure, it's possible with all the weapons that he has, but I have had my doubts all off-season. Odunze helps me feel a tad more comfortable with Caleb being able to at least create a good fantasy environment (even if the team is struggling to win games), but it's still not a good redraft environment for the rookie receiver (think JSN all season last year).

As for Nabers, he could thrive in 2025 if he gets a QB, but his rookie year will be full of ups and downs, maybe good yardage, but probably bad TD production.

Marvin Harrison Jr., on the other hand, has a landing spot that was king maker of this WR class. As a rookie, MHJ could drop top 5-10WR numbers. As a rookie, it wouldn't be crazy if he was WR3-5 overall. You heard me. Draft MHJ in round 2 (anywhere inside round 2, even at the 12/13 turn) with a smile. That's redraft, though. In dynasty, he is now in my top 5 overall and at least my WR1 or WR2 off the board.

    Thoughts?

It’s true. Mhj separated himself more from the rookie pack with this landing spot from the rookies. In dynasty, give me GW, Smitty, Drake London over Odunze and Nabers from their landing spots. MHJ was cemented as a top 5 dynasty wr when they called his name in AZ. This was the best fit.

I think the other 2 of the big 3 wrs took a hit with their landing spots. In rookie drafts, I’m still picking them 2nd and 3rd in 1 qb but I think Brian Thomas gets close in value to them after round 1 in the draft.

Yep.. McConkey goes today.. to BUF? We shall see. The BUF wide receiver might move to my #2 redraft rookie… we shall see who they take. McConkey, Mitchell or Coleman I’d imagine.

Now TDV (The Dwarf Vulture) has a NEW WR to screw over.

Cards to the moon. Now Trey Benson at RB for AZ. Wow.
