Announcement: Trade Calc has INSANE logic added!

smitty-thefantasyfootballshow

I honestly think you have to HATE amazing things not to LOVE the updates to the Trade Calculator.

Not only is the trade analysis 100x better (and more accurate), you the amount of info you get in the 'results' is incredible. I'm even shocked every time I run the tool and I'm the one that created it.

Now, you get the following:

  • $ and % Results with each Calculation
  • Additional Labels and Recommendations, like "this is Smitty's favorite player" or "Smitty says AVOID so and so" advice with most all trades
  • Safeguard Logic: If the Calculator detects smoke and mirrors (someone sending a 3-for-1 that stinks of trickery), you get warned
  • Safeguard Logic Recommendations: If "smoke and mirrors" is detected in a potential garbage 3-for-1 or 2-for-1 or 5-for-2 offer, it recommends re-running it allowing the Calculator to balance the scales with additional logic
  • & so much more

So, don't take my word for it. Test away! Also, below is an example of how that "Safeguard Logic" works, if you want to read more first before testing.

Example: Safeguard Logic

If you run any sort of trade sending away an elite player, or where you give up the best player in the deal (and the margin is large between that best player and the top-ranked player you're receiving back), the logic kicks into gear. It kicks into gear in a dozen other different ways, but this is one example. View how it will appear below:

As you can see above, there is an orange button and paragraph that advises that you re-run the trade using "Quality Over Quantity" Safeguard Logic..

If you re-run the trade as the Calculator advises, by merely clicking the orange button seen in the graphic titled "Re-Run With Roster Balance Logic", this will occur (see below image):

trade-ex2

As you can see in the image above, the new evaluation (with "Roster Balance Logic") shows: You win by 13% (or by $14)

.. It also re-describes the trade evaluation like this:

Roster Balance Applied: As expected, this trade needed some "quality over quantity" perspective; however, because you still win (even if the gap was closer via this logic), this trade is acceptable to execute. Use the additional advice on this page with confidence.

As you can see, the trade was still a good one, but this tool will safeguard check anything that is lacking balance or just needs a 'roster balance' analysis. Sometimes it will flip the answer and explain why smoke and mirrors and trickery are making this trade a no-go... other times, like the example above, the Calculator will still like the trade, but like it a lot less than prior to re-looking at it.
