Jalen Hurts says 95% of Eagles’ offense is new
News: When speaking about the new Eagles’ offense, under new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, QB Jalen Hurts described it as being about 95 percent brand new. “I think the goal coming in was to learn Kellen’s offense and to master it, and I think that’s been a process, and by the end of it, I want it to be mine and have it in my own way,” Hurts told reporters at the conclusion of a recent OTA practice.
Smitty: Hurts could EXPLODE in 2024 in Moore’s system, a system that ranked the Cowboys inside the top six in yards in three out of his four seasons as the Cowboys’ OC. With the defensive additions, the extending of both elite WRs (AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith), and the adding of stud rusher Saquon Barkley, this offense should easily be one of the best five offenses in 2024. Even if the ‘brotherly shove’ is dialed back even a little bit, Hurts could have his best season yet. That’s a bold statement considering Hurts was a top six fantasy football quarterback 11 times last year (a Weekly Winners goldmine). He is a ‘win-a-contest’ Best Ball grab anywhere in late round three, but take full advantage of his current 4.1 Underdog ADP (as of 6/7/2024).
