Rankings Update.. redraft, dynasty, rookie!

smitty-fantasyfootball

Hey, all. I just wanted to let you all know that I did an entire Rankings Overhaul, something that's needed every few months (at a minimum). When I say overhaul, I simply mean that I go through all of the rankings in extreme detail, as it's very easy to have a player slip through the cracks and rank super-low, or super-high... it happens. So, I find these overhauls are needed every few months, and I think it cleans the rankings up very nicely. So, have at it. Let me know who you think is too high and who is too low. I will obviously address any oversights that you guys identify, and I'll at least look at any preference-based arguments you guys have.

Hey Smitty – great stuff. My only question is the combo of Waddle and Hill are 9 and 12, with Tua at #19 and can run on occasion with a meh backfield; Cooks is #27 and Mills is #15 with limited mobility and what looks like a good RB 1-2 punch. Tua’s situation seems better…no?

Tua maybe needs a bump, but Mills I like a lot to be a super sleeper QB. I like Nicco Collins a lot, too. If anything Cooks and Nicco get bumps before Mills gets a nudge downward. But good observations on the rankings. Tua I admit is looking better than I expected. I still worry it’s fools gold, but I admit I’m starting to see some huge upside all together in MIA.

    Smitty,

Been with you since 2008, maybe before. If I could get something from my wish list is to see Kickers and DSTs woven into your redraft list, not so much for me, but I often give newbies my personal cheat sheet particularly if they are new to the leagues that I run.

I use 3 sites for ranking info, you, Fantasy Pros and Pro ‘Football Focus, although I am becoming disillusioned with PFF. My spread sheet weights the sites and your ranks count from 40 to 50 percent of the weight. The other sites include Kickers and DSTs in their ranks and it would be handy if you did also so that I could help newbies have a rough idea as to when to reach for those players, especially in the leagues that I run where DSTs can score like RB2s

Dynasty doesn’t make any difference because those team owners should already know when to take a DST, but redraft would be handy as you did recently in your NoPPR rankings a few days ago.

So, if you go to the main Rankings page via the top navigation, just click on the word Rankings (not the sub heading drop downs) you will see “non-PPR Rankings…. so K and DST ranks are there. That’s how you find it, but here is the link:

https://thefantasyfootballshow.com/rankings (click on the ‘non-ppr rankings’)

        Thanks Smitty,

I had already found that. Was just hoping to see DSTs and Kickers included in your regular redraft rankings PPR or not

I mean in your Top 200 redraft ranks

Yeah, I don’t mix the DSTs and Ks into those ranks. For a few backend reasons, but honestly man, all Ks and DSTs belong in the final 3 rounds of your draft, so there isn’t a point to place them on the top 200. IMO.
